Application Engineer for Transmission

Responsibilities

• Define customer specifications for ZF AMT products in collaboration with OEMs and ZF German departments
• Manage project schedules for prototype and serial production phases
• Work with product owners to prepare and create new Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new applications
• Perform installation checks, troubleshooting, and vehicle testing for ZF AMT products at OEM sites
• Support the installation release for AMT products assembled on prototype vehicles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• 0-3 years of experience in the application and calibration of AT or AMT transmissions, preferably in heavy-duty truck environments
• Proficiency in English (both oral and written)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and automotive engineering, including transmission technology
• Experience with CAN knowledge and tools such as CANape or CANalyzer is a significant asset
• Basic understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with customers and cross-functional departments
