Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support preliminary ESS design, system sizing, and power system analysis.
• Provide technical guidance on energy storage solutions during project development and pre-sales phases.
• Collaborate with system and software engineering teams to ensure accurate technical solutions.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development to position HybridOS™ EMS and ESS solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals highlighting system performance and integration benefits.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert in customer meetings and engagements.
• Assist in contract negotiations by ensuring technical requirements are accurately reflected in agreements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong technical aptitude in electrical or power systems engineering.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent listening, communication, and customer engagement skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Ability to pass background and toxicology screening.
• Ability to utilize AI-driven tools and workflows to streamline processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Systems Engineering.
• Professional certification or license (e.g., EIT, PE, PMP).
• Experience with AutoCAD, PowerBI, Visual Basic, or Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Prior experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or utility-scale power projects.
• Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements and utility/ISO processes.
• Exposure to contract negotiation or technical sales engineering.
