Application Engineer East - Railways

Responsibilities

• Manage technical relationships with railway customers (OE/End Users) and distributors.
• Develop customized engineering solutions and value-added offerings to meet specific customer needs.
• Perform application reviews on complex machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Create and present technical proposals, including application concepts, designs, and specifications.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for bearing-related problems in various applications.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide feedback for new product and service development.
• Represent SKF at technical forums, seminars, and customer sites through presentations and visits.
• Develop and deliver internal and external technical training materials and sessions.

Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• 5-8 years of experience in Application Engineering, Design Engineering, or Maintenance.
• Proven experience working within the Railways industry.
• Strong domain knowledge in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience handling Original Equipment (OE) manufacturers or End Users.
• Ability to perform solution selling and manage internal/external stakeholders.
