Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers in early-stage co-engineering to translate functional requirements into manufacturable and cost-effective sealing solutions.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers to ensure continuous alignment throughout the development process.
• Lead the design and 3D modeling of components and assemblies, ensuring functionality, sustainability, and compliance with requirements.
• Initiate and interpret simulations, such as FEA and mold flow, to validate and optimize product performance.
• Create and maintain precise technical documentation, including drawings with GD&T, specifications, and reports.
• Drive continuous improvement by integrating feedback from prototyping and testing while leveraging new materials and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing, or Polymer Engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in product development and simulation-based optimization.
• Expertise in CAD modeling, FEA, and GD&T.
• Solid knowledge of polymers and elastomers.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English (C1) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good command of German (B2).
• In-depth understanding of automotive requirements relevant to the Transportation & Electronics sector.
