About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead bonding and gasketing recommendations and conduct technical customer visits
- Develop and manage key innovation and application development programs
- Perform hands-on activities including surface preparation and adhesive product application (manual and robotic)
- Conduct customer troubleshooting, demonstrations, and technical trainings
- Perform bonding and gasketing testing and oversee laboratory experimental work
- Conduct manufacturing excellence surveys to identify cost savings and process improvements
- Travel up to 20-50% to customer sites, Henkel facilities, or trade shows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, material engineering, or a similar field
- 3-5 years of application experience in a laboratory setting with adhesive technology
- Strong analytical thinking, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and work cross-collaboratively
- Willingness to work onsite 5 days per week (unless traveling)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of project management experience
- Experience with adhesive technology specifically for automotive interiors and exteriors
