Application Engineer Bonding and Gasketing

Responsibilities

• Lead bonding and gasketing recommendations and conduct technical customer visits
• Develop and manage key innovation and application development programs
• Perform hands-on activities including surface preparation and adhesive product application (manual and robotic)
• Conduct customer troubleshooting, demonstrations, and technical trainings
• Perform bonding and gasketing testing and oversee laboratory experimental work
• Conduct manufacturing excellence surveys to identify cost savings and process improvements
• Travel up to 20-50% to customer sites, Henkel facilities, or trade shows

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, material engineering, or a similar field
• 3-5 years of application experience in a laboratory setting with adhesive technology
• Strong analytical thinking, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to build strong relationships and work cross-collaboratively
• Willingness to work onsite 5 days per week (unless traveling)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of project management experience
• Experience with adhesive technology specifically for automotive interiors and exteriors
