About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish and leverage external networks and partnerships with research institutions, suppliers, and OEMs
  • Develop and manage key innovation and application development programs and special projects
  • Lead bonding and gasketing recommendations, technical customer visits, and demonstrations
  • Conduct customer troubleshooting, problem-solving for strategic initiatives, and breakthrough technology assessments
  • Perform hands-on activities including surface preparation, adhesive product application (manual and robotic), and testing
  • Oversee technician laboratory experimental work and write detailed technical reports
  • Conduct manufacturing excellence surveys to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities
  • Support sales engineers and Key Account Managers during customer site trials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, material engineering, or a similar field
  • 3-5 years of application experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with adhesive technology for automotive interiors and exteriors
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking, mechanical aptitude, and effective troubleshooting
  • Strong ability to build relationships and work cross-collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel up to 20-50% as required by the role
  • Ability to work onsite in the office 5 days per week (unless traveling to customer sites or facilities)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of project management experience
