Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and optimization of high-availability data platforms and pipelines to ensure corporate-level performance and scalability.
• Develop and design complex, end-to-end data architectures and orchestrate robust flows using Apache Airflow, dbt, and Python.
• Implement real-time streaming solutions with Kafka and build scalable data warehouses/data lakes by optimizing Snowflake and AWS services via Docker containers.
• Establish DataOps best practices, maintain technical code quality standards, and provide technical mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 to 6+ years of proven experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in cloud data architecture (AWS) and dimensional model design.
• Experience with both batch and streaming (real-time) data processing.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, Kafka, dbt, and Docker.
• Intermediate English skills (technical reading and comprehension).
• Must reside in Mexico City or Monterrey, Nuevo León.
