Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop API proxies within the Apigee platform
• Perform simple message transformations using JSON and XML
• Document APIs utilizing OpenAPI and Swagger standards
• Execute integration testing using Postman or similar tools
• Provide initial level support for incidents, including log reviews and using Trace tools
• Support the construction, testing, and maintenance of API proxies under supervision

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in API development or integrations
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, XML, and SOAP
• Familiarity with API Management concepts and architecture
• Proficiency with Git (cloning, branching, and merging)
• Knowledge of API security basics, including tokens, headers, and API Keys
• Experience with troubleshooting tools such as logs, correlation, and timeouts
• Technical English proficiency
