Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new software programs using the Mendix platform
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software solutions
• Design and update software data models and develop modern, user-friendly UIs
• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Communicate regularly with management and technical support colleagues
• Mentor junior application engineers and perform code reviews
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
• Mendix Intermediate certification
• At least 2 years of experience in Mendix development
• In-depth knowledge of web technologies including HTML and CSS
• Working experience building APIs and services using REST and SOAP
• Experience working within Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Fluency in written and oral English
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript, Java, or .NET
• Experience with React Native or CSS3
• Knowledge of Camunda, BPMN, or Appian
• Experience with Sparks EA
