Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new software programs using the Mendix platform
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software applications
• Design and update software data models and develop modern, user-friendly UIs
• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Communicate regularly with management and technical support colleagues
• Mentor junior developers and potentially manage small development teams
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs and stay updated on state-of-the-art development tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
• Extensive experience with Mendix and programming languages such as Java or .NET
• In-depth knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Working experience building APIs and services using REST and SOAP
• Experience working within Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills in English
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical development tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Mendix Expert developer certification
• JavaScript expert level proficiency
• Advanced CSS3 experience
• Experience with Java and Sparks EA
