Application Engineer 4 (Cloud)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed guidance for cloud workloads to ensure compliance with Government security and regulatory requirements like NIST SP 800-53
• Collaborate with cloud-focused teams to design, test, and implement cloud workload security configurations
• Facilitate the creation of procedures and cybersecurity guidance for migrations from legacy environments to AWS
• Evaluate and research cloud services and security technologies to make recommendations for data protection

Requirements

• TS/SCI with a Polygraph
• Minimum 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years based on education level)
• Experience with cloud computing and virtualization platforms
• Strong knowledge of application system and network architectures and security principles
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions
• Excellent communication, writing, and architectural whiteboarding skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Cloud Certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) or Zero-Trust Implementation
• Experience with AWS security services including IAM, SCPs, KMS, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Inspector
