Application Development & Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Shopify eCommerce platform for availability, performance, and defects
• Log and categorize incidents in ServiceNow and perform initial triage
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for storefront issues, content errors, and order processing anomalies
• Assist with routine Shopify content updates, product catalog maintenance, and platform configuration
• Support quality assurance by executing test cases, verifying bug fixes, and performing post-deployment smoke testing
• Maintain support documentation, including runbooks, known issue logs, and troubleshooting guides

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 4–8 years of experience in application or technical support, ideally with Shopify or eCommerce environments
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to identify and describe frontend issues
• Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira
• Understanding of REST APIs and web application fundamentals
• Familiarity with browser developer tools and Linux command-line operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Shopify Plus platform administration
• Exposure to Oracle integrations or middleware platforms
• Familiarity with GitLab for reviewing deployment changes
• Experience with WCAG accessibility testing or compliance verification
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog or New Relic
• ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks
