Application Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage application development programs to support the development, scale-up, and commercialization of Volta Technology
• Collaborate with customers and internal/external R&D laboratories
• Maintain a network of partner labs and manage outsourced projects for application and product development
• Serve as the technical interface between customers and Business Development during sample validation and oversee customer trials
• Develop application development reports and brochures translating scientific excellence into business implications
• Maintain knowledge of competitive industrial practices and standards for PLGA to develop customer business cases
• Conceptualize and initiate product development projects with external partners based on customer feedback
• Manage technical product compliance, statements, and regulatory registrations
• Support business unit grant applications and project execution
• Represent the company at conferences to build relationships and scout partnership opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in chemistry, polymer, engineering, or applied science
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in application development or technical sales in polymer film/sheet extrusion, paper coating, or plastic packaging development
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to travel 30-50%
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with biobased polymers
• Proficiency in additional languages
