Application Development Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, and deployment
• Oversee the development and enhancement of enterprise applications to ensure quality, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Establish and enforce development standards, coding practices, and technical documentation
• Manage and prioritize the application development backlog based on business value
• Manage external development vendors and partners to ensure delivery against SLAs and KPIs
• Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Ensure all solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, IT security policies, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in application development and delivery
• Proven experience managing enterprise applications and the full development lifecycle
• Experience in team leadership and vendor management
• Strong understanding of software development frameworks, integration, and delivery models

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification
• Cloud certifications such as Azure or AWS
• Experience working in enterprise environments within the UAE or GCC region
