About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in planning and executing menus for large-scale cooking demonstrations, workshops, and corporate events.
- Maintain Food Safety and Hygiene standards (HACCP) at the Unilever Kitchen and customer sites.
- Provide technical consultancy to B2B customers, including major restaurant chains and hotels, to troubleshoot kitchen operations and design customized menus.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to translate market trends into innovative dish concepts and support promotional campaigns.
- Act as a bridge between culinary arts and food science by collaborating with R&D to test product applications and participate in sensory evaluation panels.
- Research and develop recipes that optimize food costing, portioning, and process simplification for B2B clients.
- Manage menu application testing projects and prepare weekly progress reports and action plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Food Technology/Science.
- 2–3 years of experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor, preferably in 4-5 star hotels or reputable restaurants.
- Professional culinary expertise with strong skills in recipe innovation and sensory evaluation.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to calculate food costs and understand industrial kitchen operations.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills for conducting cooking demonstrations and training sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a corporate F&B environment, large F&B chains, or the FMCG sector.
- Foundational knowledge of food science, including ingredient interactions and texture stability.
