Appliance Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on major GE Appliances
• Use sound judgment to recommend repairs versus replacements based on customer needs
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products
• Operate an assigned service van to travel to customer locations
• Accurately document repairs, routes, and work activities
• Manage inventory and maintain the service vehicle
• Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and customers

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance
• Valid state driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry at least 77 lbs and push/pull 70 lbs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook and Teams)
• Willingness to obtain CFC Certification within 6 months
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience with refrigeration repair
• CFC Certification
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems
• Certification in appliance repair or an associate’s degree
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
