Apple Foundation Program Mentor

Responsibilities

• Support interactive Apple Foundation programs by providing guidance and coaching to learners
• Assist students in developing coding, design, and professional skills
• Collaborate with the Apple Foundation Program Manager to foster a supportive learning environment
• Provide administrative and project support for the Apple Program Manager
• Support learners through curriculum including Swift coding, design, marketing, and project management

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Apple computers and operating software
• Understanding of UX fundamentals (user research, personas, prototyping, and iOS Human Interface Guidelines)
• Understanding of design fundamentals such as text, color, and imagery
• Familiarity with the Design Thinking framework
• Experience in technology, specifically mobile development and the iOS platform
• Strong understanding of Swift and other coding languages
• Experience in UI/UX design within an industry or academic environment
• Ability to work afternoons and evenings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking and wireless network operating systems
• Understanding of branding, brand identity, and marketing materials
• Experience working in a dynamic team environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects as an organized self-starter
