Appeals & Registration Specialist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, intake, and process undergraduate academic appeals in compliance with FERPA guidelines
• Manage the university-wide grade submission process, including running reports and following up with faculty
• Provide comprehensive support to students, staff, and faculty regarding registration, enrollment, and the La Verne Portal
• Process official grade changes, transcript requests, and enrollment verifications
• Maintain the integrity of student data within the Banner relational database
• Monitor the National Student Clearinghouse transcript request process and troubleshoot service disruptions
• Assist with commencement-related activities and other special projects as assigned

Requirements

• 2 years of customer service experience
• 1 year of office or clerical experience
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Experience working with relational databases
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Demonstrated communication and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a higher education environment
• Experience using a student information system, such as Banner
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
• Fluency in a second language
