About the role
Responsibilities
- Draft elementary legal briefs with an ADA
- Assist with proofreading, cite checking, and locating files and documents
- Maintain and update the division’s digital case tracking system
- Support motions practice, exhibits coordination, and related assignments
- Communicate with defense attorneys and courts about appeal status
- Coordinate with the Records Department on sensitive case materials
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college by start date
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, courts, and law enforcement
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with accurate data handling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn proprietary applications and computer systems
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to workflow changes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with legal or administrative support work
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with Access and other office tools
