Apparel Graphic Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply techniques such as dye-sublimation, screen printing, embroidery, and vinyl cutting to enhance fabric textures
• Conduct fabric tests for colorfastness, durability, and performance
• Collaborate with costume and puppet teams to provide prepared fabrics and technical solutions
• Maintain detailed records of processes and printing techniques for accurate replication
• Inspect fabrics and prints to ensure aesthetic and performance standards are met
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to printing and fabric preparation
• Organize and maintain digital artwork files and folders
• Interpret creative concepts and translate them into functional designs
• Mentor junior team members in fabric treatment and printing techniques

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in fabric printing or textile art
• Bachelor’s degree in fine art, textile design, graphic design, or related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience with screen printing, digital printing, and other print applications
• In-depth understanding of fabric properties and color theory
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and lift up to 15 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with textile design software
• Experience with various dyeing techniques, including natural and synthetic dyes
• Expertise in fabric dyeing and color-matching to align with creative visions
