About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead Chemours’ advocacy strategy for Advanced Performance Materials (APM) across EU institutions and national authorities.
  • Represent Chemours in EU and national trade associations in leadership or consensus-building roles.
  • Monitor regulatory developments including REACH, fluoropolymer frameworks, and international treaties.
  • Provide senior leadership with strategic analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain networks with regulators, policymakers, NGOs, scientific bodies, and industry partners.
  • Develop stakeholder-mapping tools, engagement processes, and tracking systems.
  • Prepare position papers, technical briefings, and presentations to communicate Chemours’ viewpoints.
  • Act as a trusted internal advisor for regulatory and advocacy-related decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, public policy, advocacy, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with organofluoride chemistries and environmental/regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of EU chemical legislation, specifically REACH, and international treaties.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Experience working within trade associations or steering multi-company coalitions.
  • Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advanced materials, fluorochemistries, or clean-technology sectors.
  • Policy-strategy experience within complex, multinational organizations.
  • Ability to navigate culturally diverse environments across different borders and time zones.
