Responsibilities

• Design solutions using event sourcing, CQRS, pub/sub, and event mesh patterns
• Model events through event storming, defining schemas and contracts (Avro, JSON Schema, Protobuf)
• Work with event streaming and brokering platforms such as Kafka, Confluent, Redpanda, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, NATS, and cloud-native services
• Define EDA governance standards including lifecycle, versioning, documentation, monitoring, and event deprecation
• Drive EDA adoption within the organization through workshops and business evangelization
• Ensure security and traceability of events and APIs using encryption, OAuth, IAM, JWT, and mTLS

Requirements

• Expertise in EDA architecture and design (event sourcing, CQRS, pub/sub, event mesh)
• Solid understanding of microservices and asynchronous APIs (AsyncAPI 2.x/3.x)
• Experience with event contracts such as Avro, JSON Schema, and Protobuf
• Hands-on experience with streaming platforms like Kafka, Confluent, Redpanda, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, NATS, or cloud-native services (EventBridge, Azure Event Grid, GCP Pub/Sub)
• Knowledge of CI/CD and event quality validation
• Ability to connect business needs with technology
• Proficiency in security protocols including ACLs, OAuth, IAM, JWT, IdP, and mTLS
