API 570/Certified Welding Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform field verifications of interfaces on inspection ISOs
• Mark and paint excavation areas in the field
• Sketch new and redline existing inspection ISOs
• Follow, interpret, and redline P&IDs
• Identify and mark UTT areas for thickness readings and RT areas for piping profiles
• Provide accurate detailed documentation and inspection reports
• Interpret visual inspection findings and NDE performed
• Ensure compliance with Engineering Specifications and API Code requirements
• Obtain necessary permits to work
• Maintain safety consciousness by reviewing job and work locations for hazards
• Perform PCMS data entry and piping data scrubbing as needed

Requirements

• API 570 certification
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• Ability to work 40 hours per week including weekends as required
• Possession of necessary PPE, tools, and equipment
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other crafts
