APAC General Ledger Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting and General Ledger (GL) functions ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local regulations
• Record, review, and maintain financial transactions across daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cycles
• Lead month-end closing activities, including accruals, amortization, intercompany billings, and fixed asset maintenance
• Conduct Profit and Loss analysis, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Review and approve vendor invoices and employee reimbursements for proper GL classification
• Coordinate with external auditors to prepare and submit timely audit requirements
• Support the preparation and filing of local statutory, tax, and regulatory reportorial requirements
• Maintain strong internal controls and contribute to process improvements within the reporting functions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or a related field
• 2-5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance
• Solid exposure to General Ledger functions, including bank reconciliations and month-end activities
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
• Strong analytical capabilities and keen attention to detail
• Ability to work a standard schedule with flexibility to extend during month-end close periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Experience using SAP (S/4HANA) or other major ERP systems
• Background in preparing complete financial statements or involvement in audit engagements
