APAC Employee Relations Regional Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the Employee Relations (ER) function across the APAC region, managing a team of ER Advisors.
• Independently own and manage complex ER matters end-to-end, including internal conflict management and escalated cases.
• Act as a point of escalation for high-severity cases such as disputes, hearings, and tribunals.
• Analyze ER trends and data to recommend solutions for systemic issues and proactive strategic actions.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations for local and global policy changes based on legislation and regulation updates.
• Coach and upskill ER Advisors to navigate complex, sensitive, and high-risk cases.
• Partner with People Partners (HRBPs) and senior stakeholders to drive informed, data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with the Global ER Lead on regional strategy and continuous process improvement projects.

Requirements

• Proven expertise as an Employee Relations Lead, ideally within high-growth or scaling environments.
• Subject matter expertise in employment law and providing high-level ER advice.
• A data-driven approach to problem-solving, using facts and insights to inform strategy.
• High emotional intelligence and empathy, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong mediation and collaboration skills to guide diverse stakeholders through difficult discussions.
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and hyper-growth setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Employment law degree.
• Experience working within the financial services industry.
