About the role
Responsibilities
- Performs routine inspections and special maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and plumbing
- Determines when components should be repaired or replaced and identifies necessary parts
- Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies according to manufacturer specifications
- Follows FAA-approved maintenance procedures and OEM technical data
- Performs serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment
- Completes work package documentation and ensures all work meets prescribed standards and tolerances
- Accounts for time and materials used during inspection and maintenance activities
Requirements
- A&P License
- 2 to 5 years of experience with small aircraft or general aviation
- Recent depot level aircraft maintenance and repair experience
- Proficiency in interpreting OEM technical data or work package instructions
- Experience using power or pneumatic hand tools
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
