About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and special maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and plumbing
- Determine when components should be repaired or replaced and secure necessary parts
- Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies according to FAA and OEM standards
- Follow approved maintenance procedures and technical data from original equipment manufacturers
- Inspect completed work to ensure components meet prescribed standards and tolerances
- Perform serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment
- Complete work package documentation and sign off on designated operations
- Account for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Ability to work a Friday - Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm shift
- Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA regulations
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- One to two years of experience in aircraft repair, maintenance, or overhaul
- Recent depot-level aircraft maintenance experience
- Proficiency in interpreting OEM technical data or work package instructions
- Experience using power or pneumatic hand tools
