A&P Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and special maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and plumbing
• Determine when components should be repaired or replaced and secure necessary parts
• Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies
• Follow approved maintenance procedures using FAA approved internal procedures and OEM technical data
• Inspect completed work to ensure components meet prescribed standards and tolerances
• Perform serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment
• Complete work package documentation and sign off on designated operations
• Account for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
• Knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance procedures
• Ability to interpret manufacturer and FAA approved work package instructions
• Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in aircraft repair, maintenance, or overhaul
• Three or more years of recent depot-level aircraft maintenance experience
• Proficiency in interpreting OEM technical data or work package instructions
• Experience using power or pneumatic hand tools
