About the role
Responsibilities
- Performs routine inspections and special maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and plumbing
- Determines when components should be repaired or replaced and decides on necessary repair schemes
- Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies according to FAA approved procedures and OEM technical data
- Performs serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment
- Completes work package documentation and signs off on finished operations
- Submits work to Maintenance Lead and Quality Assurance for inspection and airworthiness re-certification
- Accounts for time and materials used in all maintenance activities
Requirements
- Full A&P License (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience with aircraft or general aviation
- Over one year of recent depot level aircraft maintenance and repair experience
- Proficiency in interpreting OEM technical data or work package instructions
- Experience using power or pneumatic hand tools
- Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
