About the role
Responsibilities
- Performs routine inspections and special maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and plumbing
- Determines repair or replacement needs and secures necessary parts
- Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies
- Follows FAA-approved maintenance procedures and OEM technical data
- Inspects completed work to ensure components meet prescribed standards and tolerances
- Performs serviceability tests using specified test equipment
- Completes work package documentation and signs off on operations
- Accounts for time and materials used in all maintenance activities
Requirements
- A&P License
- High School diploma or GED
- Zero to two years of experience with aircraft or general aviation
- Proficiency in one aircraft type
- Experience with depot level aircraft maintenance and repair
- Ability to interpret OEM technical data and work package instructions
- Proficiency with power or pneumatic hand tools
- Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
