About the role
Responsibilities
- Performs routine inspections and special maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and plumbing
- Determines when components should be repaired or replaced and identifies necessary parts
- Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies
- Follows approved maintenance procedures using FAA approved internal procedures and OEM technical data
- Inspects completed work to ensure components meet prescribed standards and tolerances
- Performs serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment
- Completes work package documentation and submits work for Quality Assurance inspection
- Accounts for time and materials used in all maintenance activities
Requirements
- A&P License
- 2 to 5 years of experience with small aircraft or general aviation
- Proficiency in at least one aircraft type
- Recent depot level aircraft maintenance and repair experience
- Experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing
- Proficiency in interpreting OEM technical data or work package instructions
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aircraft structures
