About the role
Responsibilities
- Build carbon fiber structures, mechanical structures, and related components
- Integrate mechanical hardware
- Perform refurbishment of previously flown launch vehicles
- Uphold shop cleanliness and organization
- Utilize proper PPE
- Work within a high-caliber cross-functional team
Requirements
- A&P License or relevant military experience in fixed or rotor wing maintenance
- Familiarity with hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts (8+ hours)
- Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights, in small spaces, or awkward positions
- Ability to perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, stooping)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 25 lbs
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the new space or aerospace industry
- Depot level mechanic work on aircraft
- Military field experience
- Experience with scheduled maintenance at the C&D check level
