AP Compliance Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end AP SOX compliance program, including control design, documentation, testing, and deficiency remediation.
• Lead all internal and external audit engagements for the AP function, serving as the primary compliance authority.
• Drive AP transformation initiatives, such as P2P implementations, T&E platform modernization, and payment channel optimization.
• Design and manage the AP performance measurement framework, including KPI definitions, data architecture, and executive dashboards.
• Oversee the enterprise exception management and duplicate payment recovery programs to mitigate financial risk.
• Provide strategic oversight for corporate and virtual card programs, including policy enforcement and bank relationship management.
• Directly manage and develop a small team of AP professionals, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or compliance.
• 3+ years of experience in management, program leadership, or a senior analyst role with direct ownership of controls or transformation.
• Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance program management and control design.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise-level system implementations (P2P, ERP, or automation).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query, macros) and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.
• Direct experience with Elite 3E or similar legal industry ERP/financial management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, PMP, CAPP, or APM.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with P2P platforms like Zycus or Coupa.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
