A&P Avionics Technician

Responsibilities

• Installation, testing, and maintenance of aircraft systems including fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, avionics, and engine systems
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and airworthiness directives
• Conduct line maintenance functions including preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery
• Interpret electrical schematics for avionics component installation
• Maintain aircraft in accordance with work instructions, inspection plans, and technical manuals
• Partner with Engineering to solve design and installation problems

Requirements

• A&P License (Required)
• 5-10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and systems fabrication
• Experience with line maintenance (preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights greater than 25 feet
• Physically able to handle items weighing up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• IA certification
• Flight line or flight test experience
• Sheetmetal fabrication experience
