About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training for patient access and capacity management workflows across ambulatory services
- Support CM Consultants, CM Analysts, and operational leaders with functional training and workflow adoption
- Create hands-on learning materials aligned with Epic scheduling functionality and access standards
- Update training content to reflect workflow changes, system enhancements, and approved build standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate capacity management content into onboarding and new hire training
- Build onboarding/offboarding checklists, track completion, and support readiness for go-live activities
- Evaluate training effectiveness, identify adoption risks, and help standardize practices across teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5-8 years of experience developing training programs or learning materials
- Experience in healthcare practice operations and EHR scheduling workflows
- Strong instructional design skills and knowledge of adult learning principles
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and support change adoption
- Confidence in meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, and information technology tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic Cadence certification
- Experience with training platforms such as Articulate or Cornerstone
- Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures
- Familiarity with patient scheduling, registration, consult/order workflows, and MiChart reports
