About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-range plans for annual giving, including goal setting and budget management.
- Organize and manage all segments of annual giving, such as direct mail, online giving, and personal visits.
- Recruit, oversee, and motivate volunteers to support annual giving activities.
- Personally solicit leadership gifts from key volunteers and selected prospects.
- Work with advancement staff to plan and implement special events.
- Manage a reporting system to analyze program effectiveness on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Oversee gift records and the acknowledgment process, including direct supervision of the Gift Processing Specialist.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2-4 years of related experience in fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences, including board members, faculty, and alumni.
- Strong human relations, public speaking, and motivational skills.
- Proficiency with SharePoint, MS Office 365, and general office technology.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience using Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Experience in grant writing for private and family foundations.
