Animator

Responsibilities

• Create animated characters and objects that meet required direction
• Animate both primary and secondary characters using traditional methods and computer graphics systems
• Convey emotion through body language and facial expressions/dialogue
• Meet production schedules and show deadlines
• Participate in dailies, rounds, and team reviews
• Collaborate with production, supervisors, and peers to solve problems and share information
• Follow shot turnovers, briefings, and feedback

Requirements

• Strong understanding of the principles of animation
• Proficiency in Maya
• Minimum 3+ years of production experience or feature film experience preferred
• Ability to provide a demo reel illustrating relevant artistic and technical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or experience in fine art showing understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, and form
• Knowledge of human and animal anatomy
• Life drawing skills
