Animation Associate Technical Director

Responsibilities

• Optimize animation workflows by leveraging automation and defining best practices
• Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and utilities for the animation team
• Work within the proprietary animation pipeline to reduce scene or workflow complexities
• Assist artists with technical issues across the production pipeline
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and build systems to improve them
• Author tool or workflow-specific training materials
• Collaborate with other departments to address creative and technical dependencies

Requirements

• Programming experience in Python
• Knowledge of Bash, cshell, or Linux
• Experience with Docker or other software distribution systems
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Maya, Unreal Engine, or Houdini
• C++ experience
• Experience in code-sharing and revision control
• Basic knowledge or experience as a 3D or 2D artist
• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computing Science
• Strong interest in Visual Development, Film, and Animation
