Animal Keeper Erbivori e Suini

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily care, socialization, and management of herbivores and swine
• Manage animal movement between paddocks and shelters
• Oversee hay and feed supply for herbivores
• Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor animal areas
• Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting issues to the veterinarian
• Create and maintain environmental and dietary enrichments
• Update and manage individual animal records in the cloud platform
• Support the veterinarian with medical treatments, health checks, and medication administration
• Assist with health authority relations and national database compliance

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in animal care, preferably in rescue or shelter settings
• Degree or field experience in biology, zoology, ethology, or related disciplines
• Strong knowledge of animal behavior, specifically regarding herbivores and swine
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Availability for shift work, including weekends and holidays
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle
• Willingness to relocate to Castiglione del Lago (PG)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in English
• Specific experience with herbivores and/or swine
• Agricultural/forestry tractor license
• Proactive and flexible attitude
