Animal Farmyard Attendant

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of animal care and welfare for a variety of domestic farm animals
• Conduct daily health and welfare checks, monitoring behavior and identifying concerns
• Prepare feeds and ensure animals are maintained in excellent condition
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented animal enclosures
• Assist in preparing animals for guest interactions and displays
• Share knowledge with guests through friendly interactions and educational presentations
• Follow all safety procedures and animal handling protocols to ensure the wellbeing of animals, guests, and team members

Requirements

• Certificate III in Exhibited Animal Care or similar (essential)
• Previous experience working with and caring for domestic or farm animals (essential)
• Experience conducting animal welfare checks, including with young or nursery animals (essential)
• Strong observation skills and the ability to identify husbandry concerns
• A friendly, down-to-earth approach with a natural ability to provide guest service
• A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Flexibility to work across weekends and school holiday periods
