Animal Care Intern

Responsibilities

• Provide daily feeding and wellness monitoring for animal hospital and sanctuary residents
• Clean cages, enclosures, floors, bedding, and food and water bowls
• Assist with enrichment activities and health checks led by caregivers
• Wash scrubs, towels, and blankets used in the animal hospital
• Support grounds maintenance including fence repair, painting, and raking
• Perform strenuous physical labor and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly in outdoor weather conditions

Requirements

• Interest in or currently pursuing a career in animal care
• Ability to work independently with efficient time management
• Detail-oriented with good communication skills
• Positive and respectful attitude
• Valid driver’s license preferred
