Anesthesia Technician

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage activities related to the Anesthesia Department under the supervision of the OR Clinical Manager and anesthesiologist.
• Provide anesthesia support services for both surgical and non-surgical procedures throughout the medical center.
• Act as a technical expert for the assembly, use, and care of anesthesia equipment.
• Maintain inventory, including anesthesia machines, specialty carts, and Omnicell workstations.
• Assist with general, regional, and MAC anesthesia procedures, including setting up invasive monitoring and difficult intubations.
• Ensure readiness of equipment such as Swan Ganz, arterial lines, and cell savers.
• Adhere to infection prevention guidelines, sterile techniques, and standard precautions.
• Manage anesthesia supplies, establish par levels, and oversee the ordering process.

Requirements

• 1+ years of clinical experience as an anesthesia technician.
• BCLS or ACLS Certification.
• Knowledge of cardiac and respiratory anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency in sterile technique and operating room procedures.
• Ability to calibrate, operate, clean, and maintain complex anesthesiology equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a clinical team.
