About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions spanning Android applications, Inter CPU communication, RTOS, and payment kernels
- Develop and integrate new payment features including dynamic currency conversion, offline support, and mobile wallets
- Take ownership of specific payment components to ensure reliability and performance across different device types
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system integration issues and triage bugs related to payment applications and infrastructure
- Collaborate with Product Management and international certification organizations to clarify specifications
- Participate in a regular on-call rotation for production support services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
- 2-5+ years of software development experience
- Strong focus on the architecture and design of Android devices and platforms
- Proficiency in at least two major AOSP programming languages (Java, C, C++, or Kotlin)
- Experience with Android app development using Kotlin and native development
- Knowledge of UI development, performance optimization, and screen size adaptation
- Experience with revision control and code review tools like Git or Gerrit
- General understanding of security protocols, encryption/decryption, PKI, HSM, and certificate management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Embedded/MCU/ARM Cortex development and RTOS
- Proficiency in the C programming language
- Previous experience in the payments industry, specifically with EMVco or PCI/PTS standards
