Android Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications for in-vehicle experiences
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to bring features from concept to production
• Optimize app performance, stability, and quality through code reviews and continuous improvement
• Integrate applications with Applied Vehicle OS to ensure seamless functionality
• Contribute to technical standards, architecture discussions, and sprint planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• 1+ years of Android or iOS application development experience
• 1+ years of experience shipping apps at scale
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI)
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP)
• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS)
