Android OS Engineer

We are addressing the challenges of electric vehicles through technology that sets the standards for software-defined vehicles, including operating systems, zonal controllers, and cloud connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and customization of core Android OS components, including frameworks and services within Android Automotive OS
• Assist in software design and code reviews
• Implement and optimize Hardware Abstraction Layers (HALs) for vehicle-specific hardware
• Optimize and tune Android system performance, boot time, memory, and stability
• Integrate new features, debug complex system-level issues, and ensure robust inter-ECU communication
• Write and review foundational, performance-critical code across core OS components

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in Android app-level development and core Android concepts
• Expertise in C, C++, Java, or Kotlin
• Understanding of core Linux concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in developing on-vehicle technology
• Experience in Android platform development
• Experience developing Linux drivers or extending the Linux kernel
• Experience with performance profiling
