Android Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and grow a team of Android mobile engineers and team leads
• Lead interviewing, hiring, performance management, and career development processes
• Foster a high-performing team culture and drive engineering excellence
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to ensure cross-team alignment and coordinated execution
• Ensure high code quality, robust testing, and scalable architecture while balancing rapid iteration with long-term maintainability

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience managing Android mobile engineering teams
• Proven track record of shipping complex features from concept to deployment
• Ability to excel at both writing production code and leading engineering teams
• Must be eligible to work in the US
• Ability to work onsite in NYC (Chelsea)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a consumer tech company
• Experience at both large-scale and high-growth smaller companies
• Experience scaling engineering teams to 20+ software engineers
• A passion for music (listening, exploring, or making)
