Responsibilities

• Own the Android app experience end-to-end, from early prototypes to polished releases
• Build and ship new onboarding and advice experiences with a bias for experimentation
• Create complex, high-craft interfaces including dynamic forms, rich state, and thoughtful motion
• Push the boundaries of Android through modern UI patterns, performance, and accessibility
• Set the foundations for Android engineering including architecture, testing, and release cadence
• Partner tightly with design and product to iterate quickly and refine experiences

Requirements

• Strong Android engineering fundamentals
• Track record of shipping high-quality apps
• Product-minded approach with a focus on user problems and data-driven iteration
• High ownership and ability to drive ambiguous problems to completion
• Excellent product taste regarding typography, spacing, and motion
• Ability to build complicated UI and stateful flows with clean, maintainable code
• First-principles thinking and a self-starter mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Jetpack Compose expertise and experience designing reusable UI systems
• 0→1 experience taking a product from concept to launch
• Comfort with backend technologies and cross-stack collaboration
• Experience with analytics dashboards to drive product improvements
• Experience in regulated or high-trust environments like fintech or health
• Experience in early-stage teams setting engineering patterns
