Android Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade Android applications and libraries for the Payments Team.
• Architect and build POS applications and SDKs that enable global merchants to accept diverse payment methods.
• Collaborate with product management and internal business teams to define requirements and technical specifications.
• Act as a core contributor owning the full product development lifecycle.
• Partner with Architects to refactor code and design for optimal maintainability, extensibility, and reusability.
• Promote robust, maintainable code with high test coverage and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of Android development experience building production-scale applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the ability to read and understand Java codebases.
• Deep knowledge of Android architecture components and Jetpack libraries.
• Hands-on experience with modern development approaches including Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, and Flow.
• Strong foundation in software design principles and mobile design patterns.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining Android SDK libraries or frameworks.
• Working experience within the payments or fintech industry.
• Familiarity with cross-platform technologies such as React Native or Flutter.
• A grasp of both iOS and Android platform ecosystems.
