Android Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features for native Android applications using Java and Kotlin
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to support Scotia Movil Delivery
• Integrate applications with REST/GraphQL APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with designers, QA, and Product Owners to ensure a high-quality user experience
• Implement and maintain unit and integration tests
• Participate in CI/CD processes and the publishing of applications to Google Play
• Adhere to banking regulations, internal policies, and risk management protocols

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in native Android application development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
• Experience with React Native
• Proven experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with Jetpack, Android Architecture Components, and Material Design
• Experience working within Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of software design patterns and testing strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of banking and financial industry regulations
• Knowledge of financial industry security practices
