Android Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to define and design new features
• Integrate applications with external data sources and RESTful APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Perform unit testing to ensure robustness, usability, and reliability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and fix application bugs to improve performance and stability
• Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and best practices

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android development
• Hands-on experience with the Android SDK and multiple Android versions
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integration
• Strong understanding of Android design principles and user interface guidelines
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, etc.)
• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Android apps
• Published apps on Google Play Store
